Many thanks to everyone who purchased tickets, and to those who helped in spreading the word. As a result of your contributions and efforts, we have raised $2140 towards Earthrise through this raffle.
We expect to have additional events like this in the future, so stay tuned! In the meantime, all the students who will be able to share in their common humanity through the science of astronomy via Earthrise send their appreciation and thanks.
We are conducting a raffle of the "Star Trek" telescope to raise funds for the Earthrise Project. This telescope is a classic Edmund Scientific 4 1/4" f/10 reflector, mid-1960s vintage instrument in mint condition that was recently donated to the Southwest Institute.
