IN OUR SKIES Alan Hale began writing his weekly newpaper column "In Our Skies" for the Alamogordo (NM) Daily News in early 1995. Within this column he discusses, for a general audience, various aspects of astronomy and space science, and he devotes particular attention to explaining recent discoveries and findings and to pointing out interesting phenomena to observe in the days coming up. He writes them in a lively personal style and has received many expressions of appreciation from readers of the Daily News. Through this web page "In Our Skies" is now being made available for subscription to newspapers and other publications (and individuals) around the world. The subscription cost is $20 per week, and invoices will be e-mailed at the end of each quarter. The individual columns will be e-mailed to subscribers no later than 12:00 noon (Mountain time) during Thursday of the week in question. (They run in the Daily News during its Friday edition.)
